Wakey wakey !!

OK - so with another trip (not so long this time) in the planning, I considered it high time
to rejuvenate the blog. First problem is the tool I was using to write the blog on a tablet whilst on the road has been discontinued.
Blogsy is no more!

No problem, I thought, there will be many more, but I was a little surprised to see how few active blogging tools are actually around. Most of the tool development seems to be at the Facebook end of things, which is fine, but I find that end of the social media spectrum, with its short messages and short attention spans is less well suited to the rambling thoughts and experiences of the itinerant traveler.

So enter Blogo - this is essentially a test post to check it all works before I go about updating the blog itself.

The coming trip?

Well details will follow, as they say. What I can say is its a good bit shorter than the last - I can only manage 21 days at the moment, but it still takes in 2 more countries that I have never visited before.
Due to its shorter length it is inherently more accessible and so may be of greater practical interest to a wider audience as a first 'adventure' outside Europe.
